Name Tags. Name Tags are a usable item that can apply a name written by the player to any mob, hostile or passive. For one to be used, the Name Tag must first be renamed in an Anvil. This will always cost just a single experience level, and must be done to use the item. To use the Name Tag, press the Use button (right-click for Java) on the Blocked in a 1x1x4.5 space, on a slab, lit, covered. Visible to villagers in their room, none turned. capfan67. • 3 yr. ago. Although I understand what you're describing, in vanilla named mobs do not despawn. So, either it was killed in some way, or removed by a non-vanilla mechanic. Name tags are items that can be used to name mobs by right-clicking on them. Name tags are not craftable, so the only way to legitimately obtain them in Survival is to find them inside of dungeon chests or strongholds, through trading, or by fishing. Name tags must first be renamed with the use of an anvil before being applied to a mob (which, as of 1.8, costs 1 experience level, and on
Summon a baby zombie riding a chicken. Baby zombies have an additional 5% chance of spawning as a chicken jockey in Java. But here is the summon chicken jocky command if you want to make it happen. Note that the chicken has the nbt tag IsChickenJockey which allows despawn as per usual hostile mobs.‌.
I hate that website. The wiki makes no such mention, and says," Mobs that are named using the name tag never despawn in the world, similar to tamed mobs.[1] The exceptions are wandering traders or if the mob is hostile and the difficulty is switched to "Peaceful", causing any hostile mobs or any named hostile mobs to despawn immediately.
Villagers with beds and workstations should not despawn. villagers can't despawn, boats is to help transport villagers, villagers can die and zombie villagers can despawn, if your villagers are dying boats won't help. Could really use some help. They're obviously not meant to. I saw Mumbo Jumbo having a similar issue with his zombie villagers. So I'd say it's definitely a bug, and a big one for sure. Let's hope this gets fixed soon. It is probably a bug, because this isn’t supposed to happen. In some cases, it is due to corrupt chunks not saving correctly. Oct 22, 2022 Game. There are a few methods that can be used to make sure mobs don’t despawn. These include naming the mobs, tagging items, and using a marker. In addition, you can also make sure the spawn points are clean by tagging them. For instance, if you’re breaking free from a guard, you can place a marker to make it easy to find
So yes you did. No I clicked on the fish with the name tag and then it popped up to type just as if you were to place a sign…this was about a month ago. As already stated you need to name the name tag in an anvil first. Also you do not need to name tag fish, when you caught them in a bucket once they will not de spawn.

Aternos shuts down when no one is online. Other than that, axolotls despawn unless they're name tagged or have been in a bucket at least once. You should also be able to get a spawn egg with pre-set no-despawn NBT by using a command, though. Oh ok, I'll look into the command.

Several causes of this issue been fixed: Zombiefying a renamed Villager would not copy the PersitenceRequired-flag. It was possible that a nametag appeared to have been applied while this was not actually the case for the server. Mobs in boats disappeared when they were saved in a different chunk than the boat.

Otherwise, mobs only despawn if they get more than 128 blocks from a player before the chunks they are in are unloaded, or rather, become non-entity processing (the outermost 2 chunks do not process entities, and since the despawn radius is 8 chunks this means that if the render/view distance is less than 10 they may not despawn before then). vEZXBz.
