I think 5 is definitely worth getting. It's still definitely a far cry game but it's pretty solid. Beautiful and engaging, arcade is fun, and they paid attention to the little things. Not gonna be the most amazing game you've played or a reimagining of the series but a step forward. For $40 it's worth it.

Rounding out my technical complaints would be long load times – upwards of 60 seconds – on both PS4 and PS4 Pro, a couple glitched missions I had to restart, and the one time Far Cry 5

Take the stairs up, jumping gaps where required. At the stairtop, look for the abyssal doorway. Go down this passage for a long cutscene, which eventually ends with you recuperating in the local militia base. This completes the mission. My vote: Far Cry 5 if the changes made to the game appeal to you. Far Cry 4 if it's been years since you completed FC3 and you just want to go back to shooting baddies in a foreign jungle. Reply reply
