Swap them and have the following: Steering controls and middle cluster working. Updated the stereo on elmconfig to navigator on page 4. I have the 5.3 version of the software installed and the 2012 TomTom map DVD. I've ejected the disc and checked that it is clean and have tried resetting the unit but it has not improved matters. No keys needed. Just remove the trim and the radio is held in with four screws (usually torx type). Use a blade screwdriver with tape on the end to protect the plastic (or a bojo tool, much better) and start at the bottom edges to pop the clips holding the trim in place. Work up to the top and pull free.
